Successful Result at our First Auction in 2023
Written by: Stephen Barry
In what was the first auction of 2023 a price of €2,150,000 was achieved for 87 acres in Gardenrath Kells. This equates to a price of €24,712 per acre.
Auctioneer on the day Stephen Barry comments “I am delighted to find the agricultural land market in the same rude health as last year. It was a fantastic auction and I am particularly delighted with the number of active buyers. In all 6 bidders took to the floor at various stages and many more just never got the opportunity to get involved. In recent months the supply of land has been particularly tight in the region and it is leading to intense competition when land does make its way to the market.
People contemplating selling land can be assured that there is an exceptionally buoyant market with a great depth of buyers to compete for their property. From Raymond Pottertons point of view we are delighted our clients expectations are being surpassed and it is exciting to be back in packed auction rooms with the added dimension of the hybrid in room and online format working particularly well.
If your thinking of selling please give us a call.”
The second auction of the day saw Brentwood Kells sold under the hammer at 260,000 which was another remarkable result. The property is an attractive red brick residence in need of complete renovation and was guided at €150,000 prior to the auction.
